Chains Monitor Q1+Q2 2022

The Chains Monitor Italy monitors quarterly hotel chains’ new affiliates and recent hotel exits, along with the hotel pipeline for the next 3-4 years.

The Chains Monitor Italy Q1+Q2 2022 (sponsored by Relactions) revealed that 102 hotels got affiliated to a chain in the period January – June, 67% of which belonging to the upscale segment. On the other hand, 71 hotels have ceased their affiliation to a chain during the semester, the most of which also belonging to the upscale segment (76%) and a domestic chain (66%).
In the coming years (2022-2025), hotel pipeline (new construction and/or affiliation) amounts to 158 hotels, 73.4% of which belong to international groups.
